Dear LISB Family,

I'm a girl that had a story of the past that I never wanted anyone to know.  Back in elementary school I used to be a nervous, unpopular, ugly and insecure girl that didn't have many friends.  Then, I met the most popular girl in elementary school that considered her my sister.   For me it was big because she actually wanted to be my best friend.

Soon, I went to middle school where my whole attitude changed because of my other friend.   This friend introduced me to a gang and cut-parties.  I joined the gang in the 7th grade. Imagine, a 7th grader in a gang full of violence.  Later on I became my friend's enemy.  She felt bigger and cooler than me, so I started realizing that she was only treating me as her pet.

After that moment, I lost my unpopular mode to a cool gang leader for middle school.  She and I fought twice and because of her I also lost my innocent shyness.  I now became a girl going to cut-parties and doing bad in school.  Little by little I became a girl who did not accept attitude from any one and I demanded respect!

My mom no longer trusted me, my dad was solid to me, my brothers bothered me and I did not have many friends because of my life style.  Something CHANGED!

When I got to High School that changed who I was, because before with all that happened in my past, I once wanted to take my life away.

When I began my first year, I met my health teacher.   She would talk about POSITIVE MOTIVATION and to love my life.  Plus, you guys came and talked about Living Is So Big and OPENED my eyes.   Now, I think positive, I LOVE school, I have REAL true friends, my family and I are great and I try to make my life as Healthy A POSSIBLE!

Love you guys! By the way, I sat in the back of the class where you guys were speaking.   I was the one with a dark pink LISB wristband. :)

I posted on your Facebook and will keep in touch because I will love to share my whole story.   There is much more to tell

Sincerely,
K.G
