A student in the 8th grade has shared their report of chosen topic: "Life" to the classroom. Here is what they wrote on the chalkboard for their class. The report was due today.

My Personal Report on Life.

Life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs and twists and turns and fun stuff with boring stuff. It has all the colors of the rainbow and many more. It has good people and bad people. It has a lot of stuff, but none of it should be an excuse as to why we are having a "bad day" or a streak of "bad-luck." I have come to the realization that I control my life and I am going to make the best of it that I can with all of my power. Living life is NOT small, it is BIG and worth the while.

Living Is So Big because not only the fact that, if you have a heart-beat you have a purpose, but because we all have at least one reason to live for. Although I guarantee that we can all think of more than one reasons to live for. My reasons are because I have family and friends that care about me. I am still breathing. I enjoy the sunshine. I enjoy writing poetry. I like the taste of cookies. What are your reasons? This concludes my personal report on life.

Dear LISB family

I want to thank you for taking time to talk to us about why Living is so Big! I have never valued my life. Since you showed me how important life is, for the past few days I realized that it hasn't been the best. I am not doing well in school, I don't talk to my brother and I feel like my family does not love me.

Like you said, there is one person in this world that loves and cares for you. Yesterday I learned that living is the most beautiful thing in the world. As soon as I got home I talked to my family about why Living is so Big.

A first they looked at me like I was crazy.

I then started to explain it to them and soon they began to understand that life is amazing. No matter how hard things get in life we can always look at the positive side as well.

If you believe in yourself, many good things can happen to you. Every time that I'm feeling down, I think about that one phrase that changes my whole mood. The phrase is "Living Is So Big!"

That little phrase can change your life, the way you think about yourself. Thank you for everything! You're doing an amazing thing. Your like an angel that cares for others. Keep doing an amazing job.

Dear Living Is So Big,

I just wanted to say thanks for coming to our high school. Thank you for giving us wristbands and gratitude rocks. I hope you guys do better and help many people. I also gave my wristband away to my friend Maria because in that moment she was really sad. She told me that she wanted to kill herself because she lost her mom.

She said, "what's the big point of living?" Then, I told her "Living Is So Big!" I explained to her that she has her family, friends and people who cared about her. I knew that these words would help her and I gave her my wristband.

Thank you for coming. I learned that "Living Is So Big." Life for one reason, I have my family who cares, I have a home to sleep in and food to eat. Thanks again for coming :)
